Bill Gate’s keynote has just completed. I’ll be posting a full write-up later today. For now, here are a couple of announcements:
Microsoft Search Server 2008 is now available.
Introducing Microsoft Online – hosted SharePoint and Exchange, integrating with the enterprise versions. More details to follow on this one, but here is a quote from John Betz during the demo:
“the promise of enterprise class software being delivered as subscription services”
Fun times ahead
By the way, I’ve joined the world of Twitter and will be posting snippets there when possible. You can see the latest 4 posts in the sidebar of the blog and/or follow the feed at Twitter – http://twitter.com/joiningdots
[Update: 1 hour later] Additional announcement – Sliverlight Blueprint for SharePoint. Prescriptive guidance and code samples to integrate Silverlight and create rich web-based user interfaces that leverage and enhance SharePoint functionality.
