But looks like you figured it all out. :-) The one tip I recommend for 'This week in pictures' is make the image library a disposable copy. e.g. if you are publishing pictures from company events, store them elsewhere in a permanent location (potentially even within a folder in a library). Then put copies of the ones you want to use as a slideshow into the library you've pointed the 'This week in pictures' web part at. That way, when you want to change to a new slideshow, you can just delete the old pictures and add the new set of copies knowing the originals are stored elsewhere. Here are the instructions. Set up This Week in Pictures You can set up This Week in Pictures to display a thumbnail and description of the latest picture in the Image Library as well the picture date and title. Users can display all pictures in the Image Library by clicking View slide show in This Week in Pictures. 1. In your Image library, click Edit Page, then add a web part. 2. In the pop-up box click This Week in Pictures located under all Web parts-default. 3. In the Image Library, to upload a single image, click Upload. To upload multiple images, click the arrow next to Upload, and then click Upload Multiple Documents. (NOTE: These must be in the root of the image library to display in a slideshow, not in subfolders). 4. You may create sub-folders containing pictures but the slideshows will only work if the pictures are in the root folder. This can be useful if you want to alternate which pictures you want to display as slideshows. The most recent image that you upload will be displayed on the web part This Week in Pictures. The view slideshow option will be available once these tasks are completed. Disclaimer: This is a quick-dirty procedure for setting up this option. No claims are made as to the accuracy or thoroughness of these procedures but it will get you started. To set-up, add a Content Editor web part to the page and insert the code using the Source button. You will need to modify URLs to match your environment for the web part to work.
